Ffynnon Lloer


Nestles in a small Cwm 650m above Llyn Ogwen,

access is by marked footpath which leads up from the A5 at Glan Dena following closely to the Afon Lloer, The path is relatively steep in places and care must be taken when ascending and descending the Mountain.

Ffynnon Lloers Position below two of snowdonia's highest peaks: Pen yr Ole Wen 978m and Carnedd Dafydd 1044m makes this a very memorable fishing experience with steep crags soaring above the lake making the trip alone a worthwhile experience.

Fishing is controlled by the Ogwen Valley Angling Association who also controll fishing on Llyn Ogwen, Lyn Idwall, Llyn Bochlwyd and river stretches from Llyn Ogwen towards Bethesda.

Permits are also available at the Ogwen Falls Cafe and Ogwen Bank Caravan Park located a short distance along the A5.

Fishing is for wild Brown Trout by fly only and wading is possible but care must be taken as the Lake reaches a depth of 38ft in places.
